Spicy Kubli Channa

The humble chick-pea is a favourite vegetable whether as an accompaniment to a meal or as a snack food. This recipe is my own variation on a theme and is served as a snack food with beer. For another chick-pea favourite see Kabuli Channa.
Ingredients
- Tin of chick peas
- Salt to taste
- Chilli powder to taste
- 1 tspn Mustard seed
- 1 tspn Cummin Seed
- 1/2 tspn Turmeric
- 2 Tblspn Vegetable Oil
Method
- Heat oil in wok and add mustard seed, fry until mustard starts to pop
- Add chick peas, cummin and turmeric. Fry until chick peas are deep golden
- Add salt and chili powder, fry for a minute more.
- Drain, allow to cool and serve.'
